KIM LE

Episodic Director, Bugs Bunny Builder (Warner Brothers Animation)

Kim Le (she/her) is an episodic director and storyboard artist who has worked on a full range of 2D and 3D projects, running the gamut from preschool television to adult primetime series.

Kim grew up in rural Kansas as the eldest child of Vietnamese refugee immigrants. She developed a passion for art and animation early on, with Disney Renaissance films THE LITTLE MERMAID and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST inspiring her to seek a career in the creative arts. After graduating from Vanderbilt University and over the intense objections of her parents, Kim moved straight from Nashville to Los Angeles, without any job or peer network waiting for her, to realize her dreams. It took about a year of industry classes, following leads, and waiting tables before she landed her first animation position as a character layout artist on THE SIMPSONS.

Over her career Kim has worked at nearly every major US animation studio on projects aimed at a wide range of audiences. Priding herself in her versatility, Kim’s body of work includes both kids shows like CURIOUS GEORGE and MADAGASCAR: A LITTLE WILD, and decidedly grown-up fare such as FAMILY GUY and HUMAN RESOURCES. Kim’s most recent position as an episodic director was on BUGS BUNNY BUILDERS, and she is currently working as a storyboard artist on the new revival of KING OF THE HILL.

When not at work, Kim loves to travel, having recently completed her goal of setting foot on all seven continents. She also enjoys cooking, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks, and relaxing with her two rescue cats India and Pumpkin.
